Anedia Minton was born and raised in Indianola, Mississippi, where she learned early that life's circumstances do not have to define your future. Growing up while her mother battled drug addiction, she found strength through the unwavering support of her father, Richard Little, and her brothers, Quinntarus Minton and Abayomi Minton, who continually spoke life, encouragement, and hope into her.
Above all, Anedia found her foundation in God. Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God," became the scripture that carried her through life's uncertainties and continues to guide her today.
After graduating with honors from Gentry High School in 2015, Anedia answered the call to serve by enlisting in the United States Army, where she proudly continues to serve on Active Duty. While serving, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a 3.8 GPA, followed by a Master of Business Administration with a 3.9 GPA. She is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Liberty University, proving that faith, discipline, and perseverance can thrive even in life's busiest seasons.
Throughout her journey, Anedia never forgot the people who believed in her. Their encouragement inspired a lifelong desire to invest in others facing difficult circumstances. That desire became a calling when God placed the vision for the Anedia Seed of Faith Scholarship on her heart. What began as an act of obedience has grown into a mission to help graduating high school seniors across the Mississippi Delta pursue higher education and discover that their circumstances do not determine their future.
Anedia believes every student deserves someone who sees their potential before they see it themselves. Through the Seed of Faith Scholarship, she is committed to planting seeds of hope, opportunity, and purpose that will impact generations to come.
As Anedia often says, "The strongest roots often grow in the hardest soil." If you're reading this, remember that every challenge is preparing you for something greater. Keep the faith, trust God's timing, and never stop growing, because the seeds you plant today can become the legacy you leave tomorrow.
